One I really like is HP’s Photo Relighting Tool: http://www.hp.com/idealab/us/en/relight.html. It allows you to see textures and manipulate photos using lighting techniques. Oh yeah, ITS FREE!!

Perhaps someone here knows of an online service that’ll let people rate photos, attach notes and select by rating. I’ve not been able to find this feature. Thankyou.

Online tools? That’s always been a nightmare for me. Admittedly, most of us prefer GIMP. For a lightweight Photoshop on Windows, I’ll recommend GIMPShop (http://www.gimpshop.com/) or SunlitGreen Photo Editor (http://www.sunlitgreen.com).

I am trying to create a photo album that contains my boyfriend’s professional photos. I usually use Snapfish (and am SO impressed with the quality of the photobooks), but I have not been able to find a program that does not automatically resize the photos to fit the page layout–I want to be able to have the photos printed with the same dimensions in which they are saved!! Help!!

Great list- Just checked out all the ones I hadn’t heard of and there are some great tools on there- SnipShot seems great for editing!! You should add Pixamo to the photo sharing and hosting lists- They are a lot like Flickr, but their free account is way more generous. They also have some more advanced features like community tagging, video, and code embedding

good selection i guess. And i agree with the others Flickr is a leading photography tool today. It offers great oppotunities and never stops developing.
